Welcome to the website of the joint quality initiative. The joint quality initiative is an informal network for quality assurance and accreditation of bachelor and master programmes in Europe. It stems from the Bologna declaration (1999) in which European ministers of Education committed themselves, among other things, to adopt a higher education system essentially based on two main cycles; And from the follow-up Prague communique (2001) which called upon various actors to co-operate in quality assurance to design scenarios for mutual acceptance of evaluation and accreditation/certification mechanisms to collaborate in establishing a common framework of reference to disseminate best practice. The initiative originated from a meeting in Maastricht of countries with comparable quality assurance systems, which introduced or consider(ed) introducing accreditation of bachelor and master programmes. Actions are aimed at transparency in bachelor and master programmes. Present driver of - spin in - the network: Workinggroup Sitemap Top of the page
